What you should know before you arrive with your bitch for breeding:

  • Please don't bath your female for at least 3 days before you come. This will ensure she smells right in order to stimulate the male for breeding.
  • Your female must be healthy, up-to-date on shots and free of worms, fleas and other parisites.
  • A recently groomed female will make access easier for the male. If your female is matted and dirty, we will not breed her.
  • Female should be in good condition, weight wise, and in prime breeding years.
  • A stud contract must be signed and the stud fee paid before a breeding will take place. If no pups are conceived as a result of the breeding, a repeat breeding will be offered on the next heat as per the contract.
  • Be prepared to leave your bitch with us if necessary. Some males need more time than others to get the job done.
  • Please contact us before your bitch comes into heat. Leaving initial contact until she has started her heat may mean that a stud is not available for her.
  • We don't take a puppy in lieu of a stud fee. It is not to your advantage to give up a puppy as puppies usually sell for more than the stud fee you would pay.

If you are interested in using one of our males for your stud, please contact Catherine at 604-854-5464 or email her at schnauzergal@gmail.com
